Ticketless Parking at ECQ
Eastern Creek Quarter is introducing a new ticketless parking system to make your visit easier, faster and more accessible.
This upgrade also supports the opening of ECQ Outlet in March 2026, which will bring over 1,100 new parking spaces, including basement parking and additional entry and exit points.
All major installation works are now complete, and the new system will be fully activated in early March 2026.
Parking remains free until charging begins in March, and we’ll continue to provide regular updates.
Key Features:
- Effortless Entry & Exit: Your number plate will be your ticket, no need for paper tickets.
- Ample Parking Availability: Optimised turnover ensures more spaces when you visit.
- Free Parking: Free parking periods will still apply, and parking will be free after 6:00 pm.
How It Works:
1. Drive In: Cameras will automatically recognise your vehicle's registration number upon entry.
2. Enjoy Your Visit: No tickets required. Shop, dine and relax at your leisure.
3. Drive Out: Your number plate will be scanned at exit for a seamless departure.
4. Payment: If your stay exceeds the free parking period, conveniently pay at the digital pay machines or at the exit gates.
Traffic & Safety
We’ve received customer feedback about traffic flow, speed humps, signage and pedestrian safety within the car park.
Speed humps are in place to slow vehicle speeds and support the safe operation of the ticketless parking system, including accurate number plate recognition on entry. These measures are required for safety and compliance and will continue to be monitored.
Traffic movements and signage have been updated to manage increased visitation as ECQ continues to grow. We’re also reviewing visibility and pedestrian connections near key access points as part of final site works.
We appreciate your patience as we complete these final improvements.

The new system is being introduced to help improve traffic flow, reduce misuse of car spaces, and make it easier for customers to find parking during busy times to manage increased visitation as the centre grows. ECQ Outlet will accommodate an additional 1,100 new parking spaces to ECQ.
To ensure the works are carried out safely and efficiently, ECQ has appointed Christie’s Civil, an experienced external contractor, to manage the installation and associated traffic changes on site.
Additionally, ECQ has partnered with Point Parking to manage the new ticketless parking system. Point Parking will be responsible for all aspects related to parking payments and license plate data.
During the installation period, there may be temporary changes to traffic flow and parking bay availability. Traffic controllers and signage will be in place to help guide you.
We will provide regular updates through the ECQ website, signage, and other communication channels to keep you informed.
It’s a good idea to allow a few extra minutes during the construction period, especially during peak times. While most of the car park will remain open, some areas may have temporary access changes. We'll keep you updated throughout the process so you can plan ahead.
The speed humps are in place to help manage vehicle speeds throughout the car park. The speed limit at Eastern Creek Quarter is 10km/h, and the humps support this by encouraging slower, safer driving.
Slower speeds improve safety for pedestrians, families, and customers moving between vehicles, and also support the safe and accurate operation of the ticketless parking system.
We understand this is a recent change and will continue to monitor customer feedback and the overall experience as we finalise the car park upgrades.
Yes. We regularly review customer feedback and traffic behaviour across the car park. While some elements such as speed humps and traffic flow arrangements are required for safety and regulatory reasons, we are continuing to assess signage, visibility and layout refinements to improve clarity and driver behaviour.
Your number plate will be your ticket. Cameras will automatically scan your vehicle upon entry and exit, so there’s no need for paper tickets or boom gates upon entry.
There will be two easy ways to pay:
- At a digital pay machine by entering your licence plate number
- Using tap-and-go (payWave) at the exit gate
Digital pay station locations will be confirmed closer to launch.
