ECQ Outlet will be a game-changer for outlet shopping in Western Sydney, delivering a premium outlet shopping experience with up to 100 brands, a vibrant outdoor entertainment precinct, and enhanced community spaces. Designed with convenience in mind, the new development will seamlessly integrate with ECQ Social, offering even more dining options.
Beyond retail, this Sydney Outlet Shopping Centre is set to be a vibrant social hub, featuring:
- A family-friendly entertainment precinct with interactive play areas.
- Direct connectivity to ECQ Social for expanded food and beverage options.

Progress Update
Construction is progressing rapidly, and with each passing month, we’re reaching new milestones, bringing us closer to welcoming shoppers to Western Sydney’s newest outlet shopping experience in early 2026.
Designed by renowned architectural firms i2C and Hames Sharley, the centre is being brought to life with civil and construction contractor Moits managing bulk earthworks, while award-winning builder Buildcorp leads construction.
Our development team has been working hard to ensure the project stays on track. With major structural elements well underway, we are focused on:
- Completing the steel framework that will create the retail spaces our customers will shop.
- Preparing for tenancy fit-outs as more brands confirm their place at ECQ Outlet.
- Enhancing sustainability initiatives, including incorporating energy-efficient systems, sustainable transport options, EV chargers, low-carbon materials, and climate-responsive design to achieve a 5-star Green Star rating.
Fun Facts About the Build
- 1,800m3 of concrete poured to date—equivalent to the weight of approximately 300 elephants! The total will reach 7,000m3 by completion.
- Machinery on-site includes cranes, excavators, concrete trucks and agitators, concrete boom pumps, concrete vibrators, formwork, scissor lifts, and specialised tools.
- Up to 150 workers on-site daily.
Construction Milestones
- Basement Car Park: The underground parking area is nearly complete, with final touches expected by the end of March or early April.
- Retail Structure: Construction of the elevated retail spaces is progressing well, aiming for completion by April.
- Ground-Level Retail Slab: Work on the foundation for the ground-level retail areas is scheduled to begin soon, with completion anticipated by the end of June.
- Steel Framework: The steel framework supporting the building is on track to be finished by April.
- Roofing and Facade: Installation of the roof and exterior walls is expected to be completed by July.

Sustainability & Community Impact
The project is designed with sustainability at its core, targeting a 5-star Green Star rating, with features such as:
- Fusion HVAC system for highly efficient heating and cooling.
- Skylights for natural daylight penetration, reducing lighting energy consumption.
- End-of-trip (EOT) facilities to encourage sustainable transport options.
- Lower embodied carbon materials, including warm mix bitumen, lean steel structures, and locally sourced materials.
- Cool roof installation to minimise heat load and improve energy efficiency.
- 400kL rainwater tanks to support on-site amenities and irrigation.
- EV chargers to support sustainable shopping centres in Sydney.
ECQ Outlet will generate a significant economic boost, with 500 jobs created during construction and an additional 500 long-term jobs once the precinct opens.
